My it’s cold at the moment! One downside of semi-retirement is being at home & needing the heating on during the day more… when I was working, I used to have an oil-filled heater under my desk so we didn’t need to heat the whole house… I think I should probably invest in a hot water bottle or two, or at least one of those heated blankets that you can plug in!
Yesterday, after the snow, it was a beautiful, sunny day and we had a lovely walk from Kildwick to Bradley and back along the canal…

Beautiful autumn colour along the canal in the sunshine
I have decided it’s nicer walking in the week when there are fewer people about and less cars on the back roads…
Along the canal between Kildwick & Bradley, there is a memorial to 7 RAF aircrew (all Polish) who crashed nearby when returning from a training flight in 1943, to their base in Cumbria. It was nice to see poppies laid there…

Today we have been getting ready for Louise & Lee’s visit with the grandkids this weekend when we will celebrate granddaughter Niamh’s 7th Birthday and Christmas too… but we still managed to fit in a short walk…

That’s all I can think of today… Wishing our granddaughter Niamh a very Happy 7th Birthday! We are looking forward to seeing you this weekend 😊😘❤️
